This keeps the skin fresh

21.03.2023 Dr. med. Rosmarie Adelsberger

The minimally invasive Skinbooster technique refreshes the skin from within with the help of hyaluronic acid fillers. Get to know the successful treatment methods here.

What exactly is Skinbooster?

Various methods are used to improve skin rehydration and thus boost skin regeneration. This is where the minimally invasive Skinbooster technique comes in: Low-viscosity hyaluronic acid is injected under the skin. The water-binding hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our bodies, where it has the task of supplying the skin with moisture. With increasing age, the amount of endogenous hyaluronic acid decreases. The Skinbooster can be used to compensate for the loss of moisture. Skin tone, elasticity and skin texture are improved and small wrinkles are reduced.

Who is the Skinbooster suitable for?

For every woman and every man who wants to look fresh without wanting to change their appearance. It is a surface therapy that restores suppleness and radiance to the skin.

How does the treatment work? And how long does it take?

A thin liquid hyaluronic acid is injected into the dermis using a pointed needle, but preferably with a blunt cannula. A full treatment interval means two to a maximum of three sessions at four-week intervals. The injection takes 10 to 15 minutes. After a few minutes of cooling, you are immediately fit for socialising again.

What are the risks of hyaluronic acid fillers?

In general, the side effects are the same for all hyaluronic acid fillers: swelling, haematoma and slight tenderness at the injection sites. However, all these symptoms are reversible. Very rarely, allergic reactions may occur; however, these are often accompanied by hypersensitivity to local anaesthesia.

How long do the results last?

Skinbooster therapy usually lasts between 6 and 12 months. After 12 months, we recommend a single session as a refresher.

Is the Skinbooster also suitable for acne scars or age spots?

It hardly helps with age spots, pigment lasers are more effective. However, healed acne sc ars and small areas of scar tissue can be positively influenced with the Skinbooster.

How expensive is this treatment?

A session costs between 800 and 1000 francs.
