We view people as a whole and are therefore committed to a well-founded, holistic treatment philosophy. We treat the needs and requirements of our patients with the highest level of medical expertise, the utmost seriousness and absolute discretion. We are proud that the Plastic Surgery Pyramid (formerly the Centre for Plastic Surgery) enjoys an excellent reputation in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, lymphatic surgery and dermatology beyond the borders of Switzerland.
Interview with Dr Cédric A. George about the future of the Plastic Surgery Pyramid and the collaboration with Prof. Dr Mario Scaglioni.
Today, it is not only possible to treat congenital beauty defects such as a crooked nose or protruding ears, but also to stop or minimise disturbing, age-related changes to the face, breasts or the whole body.
The aim of aesthetic surgery, also known as cosmetic surgery, is to surgically alter the shape and contours of a specific area. They are not indicated for medical or health reasons, but primarily fulfil an individual patient's need to improve their own appearance. By enhancing self-esteem, aesthetic surgery can help to improve quality of life if it is correctly indicated and applied responsibly.
"I place the highest value on transparency, openness and honesty. Preserving natural beauty is always my top priority."
Dr Cédric A. George, founder and director
Reconstructive surgery, also known as reconstructive surgery, surgically restores lost functions of the body, e.g. as a result of injury, illness or malformation. After serious accidents and in the case of congenital or disease-related defects, specialists are required who also have a keen sense of aesthetics when (re)restoring physical function and are able to respond to the patient's particular psychological situation.
Typical operations include defect coverage through tissue displacement or transplantation, nerve transplantation or tendon rearrangement. Today, the main basis for these procedures is super microsurgery.
