In addition to his practice and consultant job as medical director of the Breast Surgery Group AG in Zurich and Fällanden, Prof Farhadi is the lead clinician in the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he is also actively involved in research projects as lead for research and development of surgery.
As a microsurgeon, Prof Farhadi performs over 150 flap reconstructions per year using DIEP, SGAP, PAP or TUG flap techniques. He is also actively involved in continuing education as co-director of the European School of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
Prof Farhadi is the founder of the BRA Foundation (www.brafoundation.org), a charitable foundation to raise awareness of breast reconstruction options following mastectomy.
