Leo Clodius Lymphatic Center (LCLC) Fellowship
The Leo Clodius Lymphatic Center (LCLC), under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Mario F. Scaglioni at the Haus zur Pyramide and Privatklinik Bethanien in Zurich, offers a fellowship opportunity for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
Overview of the Fellowship
The Lymphatic Fellowship at the Leo Clodius Lymphatic Center offers a unique opportunity for practical training in advanced lymphatic surgery. In Zurich, at the Haus zur Pyramide and the Privatklinik Bethanien, the Fellows will gain extensive insight into a variety of surgical procedures for the treatment of lymphedema and restoration of lymph flow.
The fellows will actively participate in the treatment of complex cases. The main procedures performed include lymphovenous anastomosis (LVA), vascularised lymph node transfer (VLNT), vascularised lymph vessel transfer (VLVT), liposuction and debulking. The fellows will have the opportunity to participate in all procedures and assist with pre- and postoperative counselling. In addition, the fellows will be involved in all other microsurgical operations, such as autologous breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, limb reconstruction, etc. The fellows are also expected to contribute to scientific research and publications.
Requirements for application
- Applicants must be specialists in plastic and reconstructive surgery or be in the last year of their specialist training.
- Experience in microsurgery is required.
DURATION OF THE FELLOWSHIP
- Minimum 6 months, maximum 1 year.
Number of Fellows per period
- 1 Fellow per Fellowship period.
Financial support
- The Leo Clodius Lymphatic Center offers a monthly salary to cover living expenses.
