Rejuvenation of décolleté & neck

In aesthetic medicine, many treatments focus on the face, while the décolleté is often neglected. Yet this area is particularly susceptible to signs of ageing and often reveals our true age.

A rejuvenated face next to an aged décolleté looks inharmonious and can diminish the overall impression of a treatment.

To achieve a younger, harmonious and natural overall appearance, the décolleté should therefore always be included.

Particularly from the age of 50, it is important to consider not only smoothing individual wrinkles but also a comprehensive rejuvenation of the décolleté.

Why the décolleté ages faster

The skin in the décolleté area has some special features that predestine it for ageing processes:
The skin in the décolleté area is thinner and contains fewer sebaceous glands and subcutaneous fatty tissue than other areas of the body. As a result, there are no natural buffers to store moisture or compensate for mechanical stress (e.g. sleeping position).

In addition, the skin here is more exposed to UV radiation, which breaks down collagen and elastin fibres and promotes pigmentation disorders.

External factors such as smoking, stress or an unhealthy diet intensify these effects, while internal processes - such as the natural breakdown of hyaluronic acid from the mid-30s onwards - further reduce skin elasticity.

The right time for preventive and corrective measures

  • From the age of 25: Preventive strategies such as consistent sun protection and high-quality moisturising care should be established, as the body's own collagen production slowly decreases from this age.
  • From 35-40 years: With the appearance of the first wrinkles or pigment changes, targeted rejuvenation treatments such as superficial hyaluronic acid applications, gentle laser procedures or regenerative approaches such as PRP autologous blood therapy are recommended.

Holistic décolleté rejuvenation

Extensive rejuvenation of the décolleté is recommended from the age of 50.

More comprehensive treatment concepts are indicated. Lasers have proven particularly effective in improving the appearance, texture and quality of the skin.

In combination with treatments such as hyaluronic acid, they give the décolleté an additional boost of freshness.

Treatment

Modern aesthetic medicine offers various effective methods for rejuvenating the décolleté:

Laser treatment

Innovative laser therapies such as fractional lasers, the picosecond laser and vascular lasers specifically and gently combat pigmentation spots, dilated veins and at the same time stimulate the body's own collagen production for a firmer skin structure.

Hyaluronic acid and skin boosters

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers and skin boost ers restore lost volume and moisture to the décolleté. The radiance/glow of the skin is improved.

Radiesse® and Sculptra®

Bioactive collagen stimulators such as Radiesse® or Sculptra® stimulate the natural formation of collagen and thus ensure lasting firmness and harmonised volume. Both substances are injected under the skin in a fan shape using a fine cannula and then gently distributed to achieve a natural result.

Frequently asked questions about neck & décolleté rejuvenation

Is rejuvenation possible without surgery?

Yes, we can rejuvenate the décolleté without surgery using minimally invasive procedures such as fillers, autologous blood or laser treatments.

Why should surgical lifting methods always be supplemented by minimally invasive procedures?

Minimally invasive procedures such as laser treatments are an ideal complement to surgical lifting methods, as they specifically improve skin quality and appearance that are not affected by a pure lift. Although a surgical lift corrects sagging tissue (e.g. drooping jowls or a sagging neck), it has no effect on the surface texture, pigmentation spots, dilated veins or fine wrinkles.

This is where the laser comes into play: it treats colour differences, enlarged pores or sun damage by emitting targeted energy. A CO₂ laser removes superficial skin layers, stimulates collagen formation and simultaneously smoothes wrinkles - even in deeper skin layers. Pico lasers reduce pigmentation spots and refine the skin's appearance.

The result: tightening of the tissue through lifting and a smooth, fresh and even skin surface thanks to the laser treatment.

Which fillers/injections are used?

Depending on your skin type and requirements, we offer various treatments, including hyaluronic acid, autologous blood treatments, Sculptra® and Radiesse®.

How long do the results last?

The results can last up to 2 years, depending on lifestyle and care habits. A refresher treatment is possible at any time.

Aftercare

Aftercare depends on the chosen treatment method.

In general, direct sunlight (UV light, solarium) should be avoided for 4 weeks after treatment. To prevent the signs of skin ageing, we recommend the regular use of a high level of sun protection (SPF 50+).

You will receive detailed information during your consultation.

Prices

Prices for rejuvenation of the décolleté start at CHF 850 (per session). They depend on the extent of the chosen treatment method.

Billing via health insurance is not possible. The amount is to be paid directly after the treatment.
