Skin tightening with Renuvion®
Renuvion® is a revolutionary technique that tightens tissue from the inside without leaving large incisions or scars. It is usually performed in combination with liposuction, but can also be used as a pure skin tightening procedure to achieve a finer and firmer skin texture.
How does Renuvion® work?
Renuvion® technology is based on two components:
- Radiofrequency energy generates targeted heat beneath the skin's surface, stimulating the collagen that provides firmness.
- Helium plasma uses the radio frequency energy precisely and gently, enabling controlled heating of the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Combining radio frequency and helium gas creates plasma, an energy beam that is self-limiting and cools itself down again. The plasma beam is applied under the skin using a fine cannula and the connective tissue is briefly heated several times by the plasma beam. This causes the collagen to contract strongly and at the same time stimulates new collagen growth. The helium gas cools the treated tissue immediately, while the plasma jet heats the connective tissue fibres in a controlled manner. The heat is absorbed directly.

Liposuction with Renuvion®
Renuvion® treatment is usually performed in combination with liposuction. The unwanted fat is first removed using a fine cannula via a 3 to 4 mm incision. Another very fine cannula is then inserted under the skin, which generates the plasma jet at the tip, which in turn tightens the skin.
The Renuvion® treatment can also be performed without prior liposuction. However, the tissue must also be prepared with a liposuction cannula, but without fat being suctioned out. This is called tunnelling. The cannula is then inserted with the plasma jet.
This scientifically proven effect has a clear and long-lasting tightening effect on the skin. The tightening effect is so pronounced that it can sometimes be seen and felt immediately after the treatment, even if the final result often takes up to six months.
