Tattoo removal with laser
We are one of the few providers in Switzerland to offer the revolutionary PICO GenesisTM Enlighten III high-end laser technology for tattoo removal and skin beautification. With this latest technology, tattoos can be removed effectively, gently and without scarring.
During laser tattoo removal, unwanted colour pigments are broken down using high-energy laser beams from an ultra-short pulsed laser without damaging the surrounding tissue. The pigment particles are then removed via the lymphatic system and the skin surface.
State-of-the-art laser technology
Modern picosecond laser technology, which today represents the gold standard in tattoo removal, offers decisive advantages. This technology works with extremely short energy pulses in trillionths of a second (picoseconds) and enables photomechanical destruction of the pigments. Compared to conventional Q-Switch lasers (nanosecond lasers), this means fewer side effects, more precise fragmentation and the promotion of collagen regeneration with a minimised risk of scarring.
Enlighten laser
The Enlighten laser has extremely short and powerful picosecond laser pulses (the shorter, the stronger) that shatter the ink in the skin into tiny colour particles so that they can be broken down efficiently and quickly. A "picosecond" is one trillionth of a second and is 1,000 times shorter than the "nanosecond" pulses used in existing lasers for tattoo removal. This means that tattoos can be reversed more easily and quickly.
Tattoo removal
Tattoos are categorised into 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Large and XL. The price is defined based on the size, the different colours and the amount of work involved and is communicated during the detailed consultation. You should expect 4 to 8 treatments every 12 weeks. The body needs this time to break down the colour particles. The depth, colour and size of the tattoo influence the number of treatments.
Tattoo removal with the Enlighten laser is slightly less painful than with other lasers. However, it is still necessary to apply a strong anaesthetic cream before the treatment, which should be left on for at least 20-30 minutes. If necessary, a local anaesthetic can be injected for an additional charge, after which you will no longer feel any pain during the laser treatment.
After the treatment, temporary redness, swelling, blisters and occasional small bleeding points may occur. The blisters should not be opened. It is important to use consistent sun protection (SPF 50+) 4 weeks before and after the treatment to avoid pigmentation disorders in the skin. As long as the redness persists, the skin can be treated with e.g. CICAPLAST BAUME (available from us)
As a rule, you can go about your daily business immediately after the treatment.

Aftercare for tattoo removal
After treatment, temporary redness, swelling, blisters and minor bleeding may occur. It is important not to open the blisters and to avoid direct exposure to the sun for four weeks before and after the treatment and to ensure consistent sun protection with sun protection factor 50+. For skin care, you can use a wound ointment such as Cicaplast Baume.
You can usually go about your daily activities immediately after treatment.
