Skin treatments with laser
Not only do wrinkles increase over the course of a lifetime, other changes also leave their mark on the skin. Professional advice and expert removal is important, as not all skin changes can be permanently removed. It must also be clarified whether the skin changes are benign or malignant cell changes.
UV rays are usually to blame for age and sun spots. Pigment spots occur more frequently on areas of the body that have been exposed to the sun, particularly on the arms, hands and face.
These disturbing pigment spots can be treated with a laser. The laser beam shatters the pigments, which initially become darker than before, but after approx. 10 days the skin flakes off and the lighter skin appears underneath.
Lentigines/age and sun spots
Lentigines are small, limited spots on the skin. Lentigines can be divided into two categories: Lentigo simplex, also known as lentigo juvenilis, is the classic mole. Lentigo solaris refers to the formation of sun-acquired flat, brown lesions on the skin, better known as age spots.
Benign skin changes
The negative side of ageing also includes the appearance of spider veins, extensive redness and dilated vessels as well as discolouration on certain parts of the body.
The laser heats the vessels, which closes them and makes them invisible.
Benign skin lesions
Removal of superficial naevi, seborrhoeic keratoses, soft fibromas, fibromas.
Spider veins
Spider veins, also regarded as a precursor to varicose veins, mainly occur on the legs. These are dilated vessels that are visible as reddish structures and can turn dark blue or purple in colour. These visible veins can occur as a result of a predisposition or due to congestion in the blood vessels.
Teleangiectasias and periorbital blue veins
Teleangiectasias are tiny dilatations of blood vessels. These superficially located capillaries occur mainly on the face or hands and are often aesthetically disturbing.
Periorbital blue veins are visible vascular changes around the eyeball or around the eye socket
Haemangiomas
Haemangiomas are benign tumours that are often congenital or develop in the first few weeks of life. This haemangioma is characterised by reddish or bluish discolouration of the affected area.
Spidernaevus
Spidernaevi are dilatations of the arterial skin vessels, which often occur on the chest wall, face, forehead or neck. These vascular spiders, also known as naevus araneus, are vascular changes in which small vessels extend outwards from a red, pinhead-sized nodule like a spider's web.
Lip angioma
The lip angioma (venous lake) is a haemangioma on the lip. A venous lake appears as a blue-red bulge with a smooth surface, predominantly on the lower lip.
Port-wine stain
A port-wine stain is a benign skin change. It can have a dark red to reddish purple colour. It is a congenital malformation of the blood vessels that can occur all over the body.
Couperose & rosacea
Couperose is a congenital vasodilation of the face, neck and décolleté. Copper rose is often an early sign of rosacea. This is an inflammatory skin disease that progresses chronically. Persistent redness, nodules, blisters or pustules as well as visible veins and swelling on the face can indicate rosacea.
Burst veins
Burst veins can appear all over the body and are often aesthetically disturbing.
Acne scars
Scars form when injured tissue heals. These occur after an operation, severe acne or other skin injuries. Laser treatment can refine and partially eliminate the scars.
Skin regeneration and rejuvenation
Healthy facial skin is essential for a fresh and vitalised appearance. The laser supports skin regeneration and repairs damage caused by sun exposure or age-related skin changes by stimulating blood circulation and allowing the skin to absorb moisture. Depending on the condition of the skin and the problem, you can choose between deep or light skin regeneration and photorejuvenation:
Deep skin regeneration for skin rejuvenation
An ablative procedure regenerates the skin from deep within. The treatment is mainly used for deep wrinkles, large pores, many scars and poor skin texture. For such ablative treatments, the area to be treated (face, décolleté) must be anaesthetised.
Light skin regeneration to refresh the skin
This is the same procedure as deep skin regeneration, but the laser penetrates less deeply into the skin. The result is more of a skin refreshment: a healthy glow, smaller pores, removal of very fine wrinkles and skin irregularities.
Photorejuvenation (skin rejuvenation)
Light-aged skin is also characterised by pigment irregularities and dilated skin vessels. With laser-controlled photorejuvenation, veins and pigmentation spots become paler and the skin's appearance improves.
