Wrinkle injection with filler

Fillers are substances that are used to inject into wrinkles to compensate for age-related loss of volume or contour. Filler material" is used to even out wrinkles. A distinction is made between permanent fillers and non-permanent fillers. Permanent fillers cannot be broken down by the body. These fillers are practically no longer used today. Non-permanent fillers, such as collagen or hyaluronic acid, which are completely broken down by the body after a certain period of time, have become widely established due to their excellent effectiveness and tolerability and are used for wrinkle injections. At the Face Atelier, we only use completely biodegradable hyaluronic acid-based fillers.

Hyaluronic acid is an important and natural component of our connective tissue. The body's own hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind water. It ensures the skin's elasticity and makes the skin appear plump and fresh. Unfortunately, the natural hyaluronic acid content decreases over the years, the skin begins to sag, the facial contours shift and wrinkles become deeper.

The artificially produced hyaluronic acid used to treat wrinkles is a so-called cross-linked filler, which has the same properties as the body's own substance. The skin can store more moisture again and therefore looks fuller and fresher. We only use non-permanent, high-quality fillers whose localised effect lasts for around nine to twelve months, which leave no residue in the body and are generally very well tolerated.

Moisturisation (rehydration) of the skin plays a central role in all aesthetic treatment approaches. For years, attempts have been made to improve the rehydration of the skin or to boost the regeneration of the skin with vitamin products (mesotherapy).

This is also where the minimally invasive Skinbooster technique comes in: A new type of hyaluronic acid product from NASHA technology is injected under the skin using a blunt cannula. In addition to improving elasticity and skin texture, this also reduces small wrinkles. This is not a selectively applied filler in the conventional sense, but a comprehensive, deep hydration of the skin. After a treatment with Skinbooster, the skin looks more radiant, fresher and more even.

In principle, such a treatment can be useful at any age, for all skin types, men and women as well as for structurally damaged skin (e.g. acne scars or sun-damaged skin). It is particularly suitable for refreshing the skin, equalising volume and smoothing wrinkles on the face, hands, neck and décolleté. The skin booster can also achieve an additional effect after a surgical procedure such as a facelift, invasive dermabrasion or laser peeling. The skin looks more radiant, fresher and more balanced.

Acne scars leave unsightly craters and redness on the skin that cannot be covered with make-up. After acne treatment has been completed (one year of Roacutan therapy), scars and bumps often remain, which are aesthetically unpleasant.

A special filler has been developed for this purpose. The hyaluronic acid treatment with Skinbooster makes the skin surface look radiant, plumper and more even again. The effect is visible immediately after

treatment. It is recommended to have two to three sessions at intervals of four to six weeks.

So-called thick scars ("ice pick scars") can be treated with the Skinbooster or by laser treatment. These applications lead to very good results.

Other treatment methods for acne scars are laser therapy or dermabrasion (surgical removal of the upper layer of skin). Let us advise you which treatment is most suitable for you.
