Radiesse® is a minimally invasive treatment that requires no surgical intervention and leaves no incisions or scars. By stimulating the body's own collagen and elastin production, lasting and natural results are achieved that continue to improve over several months. The method is ideal for modelling facial contours and restoring volume in various areas such as the neck, décolleté, hands and other areas of the body. The result looks natural and fresh without affecting facial expressions. The treatment can also be flexibly adapted to individual needs. As the recovery time is minimal, patients can usually return to their usual activities immediately after treatment.
Treatment
Treatment with Radiesse® is carried out on an outpatient basis and lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Firstly, a personalised treatment plan is drawn up. The skin in the affected area is then thoroughly cleansed before a local anaesthetic is administered for greater comfort. The specialist injects Radiesse® precisely into the desired areas such as the face, neck, décolleté, hands or other parts of the body. The aim of the treatment is to reduce wrinkles, build up volume and improve skin structure.
How many treatments are required?
Regular top-up treatments are recommended to maintain the results in the long term. Although
the effect is not permanent, the treatment has a comparatively long shelf life of up to two years.
Aftercare
Slight swelling, redness or minor bruising may occur, but these will subside on their own within a few days. Initial results are visible immediately after treatment and continue to develop over the following months. In most cases, patients can resume their social and professional commitments immediately after treatment.
What are the risks, side effects & contraindications?
As with any aesthetic treatment, temporary redness and swelling may occur and, in rare cases, granulomas. The breakdown of Radiesse® is individual and depends on the metabolism, whereby factors such as sun exposure and weight loss can accelerate the process. To minimise the risk of bruising, blood-thinning medication should be discontinued before treatment. It is also recommended to avoid smoking and intensive sun exposure in order to achieve optimum results.
