Leo Clodius Lymphatic Centre (LCLC)
The Leo Clodius Lymphatic Center specialises in the treatment of lymphatic diseases and is part of the Plastic Surgery Pyramid (formerly the Centre for Plastic Surgery Pyramid), which has been providing high-quality services in the field of plastic surgery for 30 years.
Our guiding principle is the legacy of PD Dr Leo Clodius, which is reflected in our modern and advanced treatments.
Our centre is staffed by a team of recognised and experienced specialists. The centre also has state-of-the-art infrastructure and uses cutting-edge technologies.
Holistic treatment model
We attach great importance to a holistic treatment model that takes into account not only the physical aspects of health, but also the emotional and psychological well-being of our patients. At our centre, patients receive personalised step-by-step care from diagnosis to final treatment (conservative or surgical).
The diagnostic team
We work closely with radiologists and angiologists who can carry out a wide range of examinations (including TC-99m lymphoscintigraphy and MR lymphoangiography). If necessary, vascular surgeons are also involved in the care of patients.
Use of microsurgical procedures
In the field of surgery, we can offer all possible treatments according to the latest scientific findings, with a particular focus on microsurgical procedures.
The treatments include
- Lympho-venous anastomosis (LVA)
- vascularised lymph node transfer (VLNT)
- vascularised lymphatic vessel transfer (VLVT)
- Combination treatments with liposuction and debulking procedures
- The surgeons involved have over a decade of experience in this field.
Interdisciplinary cooperation for maximum success
During the individual therapy phases, patients are always supported by physiotherapists who specialise in the treatment of lymphatic diseases.
Other specialists such as internists, endocrinologists or nutritionists can be consulted in order to address specific patient needs and define the best possible form of therapy.
Research and training
Our centre is heavily involved in research and training. In the past, various research projects and clinical studies have been initiated and supported. The resulting findings have been made available to the medical community.
These initiatives have not only expanded medical knowledge, but have also cemented our reputation as a leader in innovative surgical lymphatic techniques.
Patrons of the Lymphoedema Association
The Swiss Lymphoedema Association is a patient organisation founded in 2016 by patients for patients. The association supports people affected by lymphoedema.
