Overview of the fellowship
The Lymphatic Fellowship at the Leo Clodius Lymphatic Centre offers a unique opportunity for hands-on training in advanced lymphatic surgery. In Zurich, at Haus zur Pyramide and Privatklinik Bethanien, fellows will gain a comprehensive insight into a variety of surgical procedures to treat lymphoedema and restore lymphatic flow.
The fellows actively participate in the treatment of complex cases. The main procedures performed include lymphovenous anastomosis (LVA), vascularised lymph node transfer (VLNT), vascularised lymphatic vessel transfer (VLVT), liposuction and debulking. Fellows have the opportunity to participate in all procedures and assist with pre- and post-operative counselling. In addition, fellows will be involved in all other microsurgical operations, such as autologous breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, extremity reconstruction, etc. Fellows are also expected to contribute to scientific research and publications.
